Description

I was watching Third Star, for the 50th time, the other day (if you haven't seen that movie yet you should, such a heartbreaker) and doodled the half portrait on the right from one of the scenes with James. But, as with most of my attempts to draw these days, I never felt like finishing it. When I was closing the sketchbook though, I noticed a funny coincidence, the moon I had scribbled down on the previous page a couple of days earlier lined up almost perfectly with where his other eyeball would be. Now I might just be over-sentimental because that movie makes me emotional, and I haven't really been able to draw anything I've felt good about for so long, but I really liked the effect of the two pages lining up and the fact that it was accidental.

It does look better in RL, cus then you can actually see that it's two pages, and it doesn't look like it's just a line I drew down the middle. But I've been so inactive here on DA I decide to upload it anyway. Possibly just to tell myself that I'm still trying to do something atleast.

But, enough of that art/life-crisis rant. Hope you're all doing well and had a pleasant weekend, and even though it's monday, I wish you all a good day.

If you listen to The Boxer Rebellion you'll recognise both the title and the "moon quote". It has no deep meaning, (but if you find it to be, I'm flattered) I just tend to scribble the lyrics to the songs I'm listening to while I draw.

Really good film as well as your drawing, so emotional. Excellent work!
